Targeted Chase Business Cards Offers Bypass 5/24
UPDATE 5/5/21: More people have been targeted. Check your Chase accounts for these offers.
Chase has one of the most restrictive policies when it comes to approving new credit card applications. the 5/24 rule states that you will not be approved for certain Chase cards if you have opened 5 or more revolving accounts (including credit cards, lines of credit, etc.) in the past 24 months. You can read more about that here.
But in some cases you can bypass this rule. One of those options is the “Selected For You” offers that show up online in some accounts. These offers now also show for Chase Business Cards. The offers show up on personal accounts, with a black star saying ‘For Business Owners’. They should also have a fixed APR as part of the offer (instead of a range). We’ve seen these offer in the last couple of months, and now more peopel are being targeted.
The signup bonuses are the same as the public offers, but there’s already data points that these ‘black star’ offers will bypass 5/24.
Looks like after applying for one card the other offers will disappear. So make sure you go for the best option first.
Conclusion
Good to see this option of bypassing 5/24 for Chase Business Cards. These are targeted offers, but hopefully some of you will see them in your Chase accounts. More people are being targeted, so if you have checked in the past, it might be worth another look.

Hubby has green star for Ink cards. It say “you are prequalified” Does this mean anything in real terms? Will they do a soft pull or hard?
Thanks!
Always a hard pull if you apply. Usually it needs to be a black star offer with a static APR (not range) to bypass 5/24
Do you know why some people get these offers and other don’? Is it because of: credit score, amount of money in a bank account, amount of spending on credit card or anything else? That would be really helpful.
No one really knows what causes it for sure.
