Total Rewards and M Life Get Free Nights Plus Free Play

*Correction: The title should say $600 and 9 because the second MLife member would not get the $100 in Free Play from Borgata.

There are a few new casinos in Atlantic City this summer and they are running great promotions that could earn you lots of free nights, waived resort fees and free play. There is a specific order that needs to be followed in order to qualify for the most possible rewards, so read that part carefully. If you are new to M Life (as in completely new, you can also make use of the Borgata Status match benefits if you have Total Rewards Diamond Status.) Check out our MLife-Hyatt Guide for complete info on how to get M Life status.

Keep in mind that M Life allows you to share your account with one other person, so you can essentially turn one Total Rewards Diamond status into two M Life gold accounts and proceed from there. Borgata M Life Match

If you are a Total Rewards Diamond Member, you can head to Borgata and match to M Life Gold. If this is your first M Life Card, you can also receive the new member benefits which include a free night, $100 Free Play and VIP Lounge Access. Full details on the official promo page.

Hard Rock Status Match

First you’ll need a premium player’s card. See the chart below from Hard Rock for which cards will get you a tier match to Rock Royalty (their highest tier.) As you can see from the chart below, TR Diamond or M Life Gold will get you a status match to Hard Rocks highest player level: Rock Royalty. Here’s the official promo page.

ROCK ROYALTY Sign-Up Benefits

  • $150 Bonus Free Play
  • Two complimentary nights
  • One-time complimentary entry into Rock Royalty Lounge or Fresh Harvest Buffet for two
  • Two complimentary tickets to Howie Mandel’s Comedy Club

Ocean Resort Casino Status Match

Once you match to Rock Royalty you are now ready to head over to Ocean Resort Casino. They will match your Hard Rock Status to their highest tier, Black Card. Also, note that Ocean is a Hyatt, so even the Discoverist status you get from their credit card can earn you a lower casino tier match. As you can see, that’s a nice work around since not even Total Reward’s Diamond status qualifies for the Black Card. Promo page. I also love the waived resort fees, you don’t see that very often. Conclusion

M Life Allows you to share your status with one person who lives with you, thus you could turn one loyalty status into $700 free play and 10 free nights in arguably the three nicest casinos in Atlantic City. If you’ve already had an M Life card, you can still get up to $500 in free play and 8 free nights as a duo.

    • I’m not sure because the Hard Rock in Vegas is a different entity than the one in AC. Although I’m guessing they’d offer a similar reciprocal tier during a status match promo.

  1. Just an FYI….Borgata currently doesn’t allow you to add a person from the same address. This can only be done in Vegas. We tried just a couple of weeks ago. They claim to be working on it as they’ve had so many requests. Otherwise, these offers all work! For what it’s worth, my guess is that the Hard Rock will be here for a long time….the Ocean, not so much. They’ve not done much to improve vs. Revel, and you know how that ended.

    • I agree completely with everything you have to say. First, Borgata cannot get it together with the MLife transition so that’s not surprising. The other thing is that I don’t think Ocean will make it to next summer. It’s crazy because the rooms are beautiful and the casino is awesome but it’s exactly the same as Revel….

  2. one key thing to note about this beautiful Ocean Resort is that its a casino w/ casino rules. its not a real Hyatt property like Park Hyatt. so you have to reset ur expectations. While it pays to be a Globalist since its part of the Hyatt program, its best to have double elite status with Global and matched Black for the best possible experience. but even then, the employees are still stupid. Globals do get similar Black status level with many perks like waived resort fees, but the hotel is still very new. so its still chaos and shit doesnt work right.

as time goes on, this property will most likely operate heavily towards the casino side so people can take advantage of the disorientation for now. also the hard rock royal to Ocean black makes absolutely no sense from a casino perspective when it requires TR 7 Stars. if i had to guess, that will change sometime soon after the the initial promos similar to how Hyatt global is no longer Mlife plat.

  3. So could I show up with my TR Diamond card, match to HR and book 2 nights on the spot? Then while staying the 2 nights there, match to Ocean and book my 2 nights there to follow? Any way to check availability prior to heading there?

  4. Hi Bethany, great post! How long after you status match at the casino til you can use the free rooms? Meaning, is it instant or do they mail you something?

  5. Actually, the card I matched at Hard Rock didn’t have an expiration. But rethinking it, it should be $600 since the second person wouldn’t get the additional $100 from Borgata

  6. When you share your Mlife status, the card the second person receives does not have an expiration date on it. All Total Rewards casinos in Vegas therefore rejected this card as being applicable for a status match (tried May 2018), and I’d expect Atlantic City ones to do the same. So the title is at best inaccurate.
