Travel to Bermuda will Soon Get Easier
Bermuda has announced updated COVID-19 protocols with new travel guidelines that will streamline the process for vaccinated visitors.
As of March 7, travel will be easier for vaccinated adults visiting the island. The COVID-19 test upon arrival will be eliminated as will subsequent tests on days 4 and 10 of a visitor’s stay.
But the new rules spell bad news for unvaccinated visitors aged 12 and older who will not be allowed into Bermuda. Bermuda’s new guidelines will require all visitors to show proof of current vaccination status and a negative COVID-19 test result (both antigen or PCR tests are allowed) within two days of arriving on the island.
- Travelers will need to complete the Travelers Authorization form with this information 24 – 48 hours prior to arrival.
- Up-to-date vaccination status is defined as having received a second dose within six months, or three doses of the vaccine.
- No further testing will be required upon arrival. If country of origin requires a test to return, Bermuda will automatically schedule and provide return testing to travelers.
The current rules for vaccinated visitors will remain in effect until March 7. That means that you must complete a travel authorization form and pay $75, which covers the arrival test and subsequent tests.
