Travelocity Two Day Sale
Travelocity is having a two day sale today and tomorrow. During the sale, select hotels are priced at up to 50% off. (Of course, we all know that language generally doesn’t mean much.)
Fortunately, there is another part of the deal which is quite a bit more appealing. They are offering $100 off of a $350 or more hotel booking with the code 2DAY100 (3 night minimum). There is also a less interesting code 2DAY170 which takes $170 off a 4+ night flight/hotel package of $1,700 or more. (Yawn!)
Save Even More – Top Cashback
Thankfully, the above codes do not seem to invalidate cashback so you can stack the savings. Top Cashback is one of my favorite portals (see: Shopping Portal Strategy) and they currently have the highest payout according to Cashback Monitor at 7%.
Top Cashback even has the Travelocity two day sale listed on their portal (shown below), which should put those worried about combining the two deals at ease.

Analysis
If you have upcoming paid hotel stays, I highly recommend looking into this deal. While there is a long list of excluded hotels (including most national brands), you may be able to find a property that suits your needs.
Between the coupon and cashback, it is like getting a 33% discount on a $350 hotel booking. (Of course the higher the booking cost, the lower your percentage of savings.)
Conclusion
This Travelocity deal doesn’t even come close to being as good as the recent Orbitz Visa Checkout offers, but those are gone and this is available now.
While I try to use hotel points to book all of my stays, I recognize that not everyone has that ability. Being able to get a 33% discount is decent as long as it fits in with your plans. Happy saving!

Bypassing topcashback is no loss at all, in my brief experience booking hotel stays through that site. I had a nodding acquaintance with about $165 in rebates posted on the site for bookings I made in October using them to link to booking.com. The money simply disappeared. A series of emails in which topcashback cordially requests additional information every time I supply them with information has been going on ever since and bears all the hallmarks of a perpetual motion machine. I think I’d sleep in a tent before doing more business with them
The problem is where do you input the 100$ off coupon code?
I cannot find any place to enter the coupon code on the Travelocity website.
On the payment page there is a link below the words “How would you like to pay?”. Click on it and you should see the promotional code box. I wish they wouldn’t hide it!
