Ukraine Airspace Closed to Commercial Traffic
Ukraine has closed its airspace to civilian flights on Thursday after Russia launched a land, sea and air invasion. Europe’s aviation regulator has also warned about hazards to flying in bordering regions in Moldova, Russia and Belarus because of military activity.
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency, or EASA, warned that “the presence and possible use of a wide range of ground and airborne warfare systems poses a HIGH risk for civil flights operating at all altitudes and flight levels.

Ukrainian airlines have moved aircraft into other European countries.
Several foreign airlines, including Lufthansa and KLM previously suspended Ukraine flights due to worries about a potential invasion of Ukraine by Russia. Many other carriers canceled their Thursday flights.
