United Airlines Plans to Open a Club Lite Lounge at Denver Airport
United Airlines is planning to debut a new club lounge concept in Denver. The new “United Club Lite” will be located at the ‘B East’ concourse addition there, between gates B61 and B63. The information comes from the airline’s contract with the City and County of Denver.
The reason why it’s being called a “United Club Lite” is because this is a complete new concept and not just a small lounge. It will focus mainly on grab and go items and not much else. The information was first reported by JonNYC on Twitter.
The lounge will be just 1,563 square feet. It will feature limited seating, a customer service counter and self serve drinks. There will be no bar, buffet, meeting spaces or even restrooms, as reported by View from the Wing. You can see the plans below on page 146 on the pdf linked here.
United’s new Club Lite lounge will be the third location in Denver, where currently the airlines currently operates two others.
Conclusion
This is a new concept for an airport lounge and the first fully committed to grab and go food and drinks. With very limited seating, and no restrooms, most travelers will not have much reason to hang around, or won’t be able to find any available seating.

I like the idea of adding grab & go items to traditional lounges, but I also like this idea. Gives us extra lounges and extra ways to pick up something easy for flights (and they are inexpensive for United to purchase).
