United Airlines Launches Daily Delhi-Chicago Flights
United Airlines has launched its new route to Delhi from Chicago. This latest addition now connects the Indian capital to three American cities: New York (Newark), San Francisco (SFO) and the windy city.
The first flight took off in the evening from Chicago on December 10th and arrived in India about 14 hours later. This route is serviced by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The first United Airlines flight from Delhi to Chicago, took off on December 12th. That flight lasted a little longer at around 15 hours.
United is not the only option for travel between Chicago and Delhi. Air India also flies nonstop between the two cities. The Indian flag carrier, a Star Alliance partner, operates the route using Boeing 777 aircraft.
United also expects to introduce a new daily nonstop service between San Francisco and Bengaluru starting on May 8, 2021. “United will be the first US carrier to provide nonstop service from Bengaluru to the US and will offer more nonstop services from India than any other US airline,” it said in a statement as per Times of India.
