Unity By Hard Rock Offer Status Match for MGM Members

Hard Rock recently completed the acquisition of the Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The 3,044-room casino resort will continue to operate as The Mirage Hotel & Casino until the renovation are completed and it rebrands to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas.

That will probably take a while and once completed it will change the Las Vegas skyline, adding a Guitar-shaped hotel tower. The Mirage’s casino floor will more than double in size with the property being extended all the way out to the Strip.

However, the Mirage Las Vegas is already part of the Unity by Hard Rock loyalty program. Mirage guests and visitors can earn and use points on Hard Rock’s global platform, Unity™, at more than 150 participating Hard Rock Cafes, Hotels and Casinos anywhere in the world.

And they are doing status matches at the property for MGM members. If you have MGM Gold or Platinum then you are matched to the highest Unity by hard Rock tier, ICON. There’s also an X tier, but that’s invite only. Remember that Hyatt Explorist or Globalist can be matched to MGM Gold.

They are also giving reward points. You get $50 for Pearl tier, $100 for Gold, and $300 for Platinum.

  1. When I matched in March they told me I had to have activity on my card within every 6 months to keep the credit active. Unlike the Caesars $100 Celebration Dinner credit you do not have to use all of the credit at once. I hope that helps.

  4. I’m in Las Vegas on vacation (Feb 2023) – and matched Gold MGM to Icon Unity – Received $100 upon receiving my unity card. Also, Husband matched Pearl MGM to Legend Unity and got $50 at sign-up.

  6. Today 2/1/23 I called and spoke to a Hard rock rep and he said my MGM gold will be matched to Unity Icon. Not going to LV until June. Just trying to get my ducks in order.

  7. The way the sign reads it says Gold with MGM gets Legend not ICON. I just tried at Hardrock only gave me LEGEND.

    • Yeah in practice people have been getting ICON. I’ll be matching this week and will report back on how it works for me. I know at least 5 people who have received the higher tier though.

  8. Does anyone know if matched Icon level will get you into the old Mirage VIP lounge? If the lounge will still be there.

  10. If I’m going to be in Las Vegas in Jan after the new year and have Caesar’s status expiring Jan 31, 2023, who or what should I be matching it to? Any benefit from being physically there and being able to do it in casinos?

    • Not sure how long the promo will go. I have to imagine that it would go into January. Not sure how long it is good for either. Status doesn’t seem all that great, I think the freebies are the key thing.
