Universal Will Make New Releases Available On Demand Right Away
If you are stuck at home under self quarantine, you are probably watching TV non-stop. And by the time this is all over you might have to start watching shows for a second time. But Universal Pictures is here to help with some fresh content, something that should be joyous news especially for families with kids.
The company said this week that it would make its movies available in streaming, the same day they are officially released. The first will be DreamWorks Animation’s “Trolls World Tour,” which opens on April 10 in the U.S..
Other films that were released recently such as “The Invisible Man”, “The Hunt” and “Emma” will also be available on demand soon, probably Friday iHeart reports. There is usually a 90 day delay between a theater release and at home availability.
The movies should be available on most streaming services. Ryan put together a list of free trials for streaming services that should definitely come in handy during these times.
