Universal Orlando Resort Reintroduces Mandatory Mask Policy
Universal Orlando Resort has announced it would reinstate mandatory mask mandates for indoor areas, including theme parks, hotels, restaurants and shops. The new rules were posted on the company’s website and go into effect on Christmas Eve.
“The health and safety of our guests and team members is always our top priority” the notification says. “As a result, face coverings will now be required, effective Friday, December 24, 2021, at all public indoor locations within Universal Orlando Resort for both guests and team members regardless of vaccination status – including restaurants, shops, and indoor hotel public areas. Face coverings are also required at all attractions from the moment guests enter the queue to when they exit the experience.”
Universal first introduced a mask mandate when the theme park reopened its doors in June 2020. It then got rid of the mask requirement in November when new Covid-19 cases dropped.
Guests are now being asked to bring their own masks. Guests should avoid visiting the park if they feel sick or have been in contact with someone with known or suspected COVID-19 symptoms. Proof of vaccination is not required. You can find more details about these new requirements here.
Universal is the latest theme park to reintroduce mandatory mask mandates. Walt Disney World Resort already requires masks in indoor areas. SeaWorld Orlando recommends, but does not require, masks indoors for all guests.

Another reason as if I needed one not to go to Universal. Who are they trying to
Protect with these new rules. Anyone who wants to get immunized in the US can now do so. I have been immunized since Dec 2020. Ridiculous overreacting bureaucrats.
