Upgrade Debit Card Offer
This morning I woke up to an Upgrade debit card Swagbucks offer email. I had heard about the card in the past but had never paid much attention to it. I decided to do a little digging on it and there seems to be a few different offers that you can take advantage of. There are different reasons one of these offers may work for someone but not the other etc. I like that there are a few different options and there is a stack that may be worth trying if you were considering grabbing an account anyway.
Swagbucks Upgrade Debit Card Offer
First up is the Swagbucks offer, which is the least valuable of the bunch but also the easiest:
- Earn cash back for purchases with your Rewards Checking Debit Card! No ATM fees, no account fees, no monthly or annual fees, no transfer fees, no overdraft fees.* Plus, earn 7,500 SB after you deposit your first $25!* (FICO score of 580 or higher recommended)
Link to Offer
This is about as easy as it gets. Deposit $25 get $75. The issue would be it comes from Swagbucks which has tracking issues from time to time. I haven’t had issues with it in several years but others have. This is the offer that has a slight chance of stacking too.
Upgrade Refer A Friend Offer
There is also an Upgrade Debit card referral offer that gives people $100. All you need to do for this offer is use a referral link to sign up. Doctor of Credit has a refer a friend page set up just for this and feel free to share your referrals in the comments. The terms of the offer are as follows:
- Sign up via a referral link and you both can get $100. You need to make three purchases with your debit card to earn the $100.
You should be able to knock this off with 3 reloads on Amazon. This offer is just ever so slightly more cumbersome than the Swagbucks offer but comes with $25 more. So most would prefer this offer.
Upgrade Debit $500 Offer
The last offer available is getting the Upgrade Debit Card with a line of credit. They will do a hard pull with this offer and you need to click through Credit Karma to get it. But, it is probably the easiest requirements for a $500 bonus ever (HT DoC):
If you don’t mind the hard pull then I think this is the way to go. There are reports that it may never get reported on your credit report if you don’t access the line of credit. It also shouldn’t be reported as a credit card so shouldn’t affect Chase 5/24. I can’t guarantee that since I don’t have personal experience though.
Possible Stack
I would go with the refer a friend offer if you are avoiding hard pulls for Chase 5/24 or a mortgage etc. but I would go with the line of credit $500 offer if that doesn’t matter. First, I would click through the Swagbucks offer and go to the landing page for that offer as well. I would then go to the refer a friend or $500 line of credit offer to sign up for an account. While signing up I would use the same email address as I have on my Swagbucks account and deposit at least $25 when opening the account. I am not sure this will work but it is worth a try for the few extra clicks. Maybe they track the email for new accounts once you sign up for an Upgrade Debit card etc.
Final Thoughts
There seems to be an Upgrade Debit Card offer for everyone out there. It just depends what you goals are elsewhere. Either way you should be able to pick up an easy $100 or $500 if approved and there is a slight chance to stack it with the Swagbucks $75 offer going on right now.
If anyone has experience grabbing one of these accounts share your experience in the comments.

Thanks for this, Mark. I love these promo deals MtM posts from time to time. I don’t apply for every one, but these are far more useful than yet another Emirates first class review (with accompanying 12 affiliate credit card links) posted by some of the other sites. Keep up the good work, MtM.
