$130 Bonus When You Open a New Varo Account

Varo is a mobile banking platform with no monthly service fee, no minimum balance and no foreign transaction fees. While that’s not really ground breaking, a $130 bonus makes it more interesting. You can currently get bonuses of $120 to $130 from MyPoints, Swagbucks and Upromise. Let’s take a look at the details.

Update 6/13/22: Deal is back on Swagbucks. HT DDG

The Offer

Open a new Varo bank account and make a deposit of at least $25 to earn the welcome bonus. Search for Varo at each site to find the offer.

Mark’s Experience

Wanted to update you all with my personal experience. I signed up in December going through Swagbucks.

  • Opened Varo account with $25 deposit on 12/22/21
  • 12,000 Swagbucks posted to my account on 1/7/22 (quicker than expected)

I cashed them out via PayPal and then withdrew my $25 from my Varo account.  Pretty easy bonus all around and I don’t think I should get a 1099 for it like with regular bank bonuses because it was issued via Swagbucks. But that is just a guess on my part and I an not a tax professional.

Key Terms

  • Offer only valid to new Varo Bank users. If you’ve previously installed the Varo Bank App you are ineligible for this promotion.
  • You must use the same email address associated with your MyPoints/Swagbucks/Upromise account.
  • Must enter valid sign-up information, SSN, and account funding information to earn bonus.
  • Offer may only be redeemed once (1) per user.

Conclusion

This is the best signup bonus we have seen for a new Varo account. It’s worth doing if you don’t have an account already. All you need to do to get the bonus is create an account and make a deposit of at least $25. That’s as easy at it gets for bank bonuses.

  1. Thank you, MtM. With a healthy amount of skepticism, I revived my SB account to try and do this. Much to my surprise, I got the 12,000 SB and am in the process of redeeming those points.
