Vegas Closed Casinos July 2020

Las Vegas has been open for about a month and a half and it has been quite a wild ride. We started with the casinos reopening amid loose regulations which were then tightened to try to keep people safer. Despite the fact that people are indeed coming to Vegas, they aren’t coming in great numbers. There is definitely demand but alas there is a lot of supply too.

And for that very reason many hotels and casinos in Vegas are still currently closed. From local casinos in Henderson & North Las Vegas to Downtown and Strip casinos which cater mostly to tourists, things just aren’t back to normal or even close to being back to normal.

For that reason I thought it would be interesting to document many of the notable closed casinos. In this video tour you’ll get to see what it looks like at Bally’s, Cromwell, Palms, Rio, Tropicana, Oyo, Fiesta Henderson, Main Street Station, Fiesta Rancho and Texas Station. I circled the Las Vegas Valley to give you a feel of what closed casinos of all types look like now.

  1. I don’t know if you’ve been in any of the Station Casinos that have opened (Red Rock, Green Valley, etc), but was wondering how their foot traffic is?? Can you give us your thoughts on how these casinos are doing? Thanks
