This Week’s MtM Vegas
This week I debriefed my recent stay at NoMad Hotel including why I think it is surprisingly good and how it compares to some of the other luxury hotel offerings in Vegas. I was also able to check out the New York New York Roller Coaster on its first day back with new trains and wow do they make a difference!

Plus we’ll let you know the new name of the very historic Eldorado Casino in Henderson, Caesars has implemented a new feature to help drunk guests find their room in a pinch and we’ll explore 15 dive bars you may want to visit the next time you are in town.
Bottom Line
I was so happy to see the Roller Coaster at New York New York come back in a good way. That plus an awesome stay at NoMad made for a great day this past week. Have you stayed at NoMad? Share your thoughts in the comments or over on YouTube!

We’ve been to Frankie’s Tiki Room (Sharon’s big into Tiki mugs) and it’s a dive. Place was packed when we went (pre-COVID) and there was little parking to be found. Spent about 20 minutes sipping on a barely drinkable Tiki concoction before our Spidey senses went off that a fight was imminent so we got out of there. Might have been just a bad night but not somewhere on the list for a repeat visit.
For what it is worth I like the Caesars program overall better than MGM. Diamond Plus w Caesars which comes w a lot of benefits, offers and no resort fees. I am also Gold w M Life and basically get nothing besides a bonus on points earned. Love Aria and Bellagio (IMHO no Caesars properties compare) but just based on programs and value I get will focus my gambling w Caesars.
As for dive bars my favorites are Frankie’s Tiki Bar and the Double Down Saloon.
I agree that MGM properties are better than CET ones when it comes to the quality of the rooms and internet. Service-wise, I like the FD agents at Caesar’s Diamond check-in and would rate them higher than the FD agents at Aria/Aria SkySuites/Bellagio/Vdara.
Cosmo and V/P have great rooms too but it has been a while since I stayed at those properties. Never been to the Wynn yet but looking forward to the new Resorts World when it opens.
