Verizon Offering Some Customers 25% Monthly Discounts
Verizon customers are reporting a new retention offer that can provide a 25% monthly discount on wireless service. Similar to previous Verizon retention deals, the promotion appears targeted and may show up after customers begin the process of transferring their number to another carrier.
Unlike older offers that provided flat $10 monthly discounts per line, this newer version reportedly gives eligible customers 25% off their monthly service costs, for 12 months. That could mean even bigger savings for families or customers on higher-priced plans.
In order to trigger this offer you need to start the process of transferring your number to another carrier. You can do that by following these steps:
- Go to “Edit Profile and Settings”.
- On the Account Settings screen, scroll down to the Security section and click Number Lock.
- On the Number Lock screen, turn off the Number Lock for each line. This enables other carriers to port out your line.
- Go back to the Account Settings screen and click on Number Transfer Pin.
- Generate a Number Transfer Pin.
As always, this is YMMV and there’s no guarantee an offer will appear on your account. But it is definitely worth trying for a 25% on your phone bill.
