Walmart Announces ‘Big Save’ Event

October is turning out to be a great time to get your shopping done, and maybe get an early start on your holiday gift purchases. Amazon announced that its Prime Day event would take place in October 13 and 14. After that, Target announced its own sale on the same dates, called Deal Days. And now Walmart in the latest retailer to announce a sale around the same time.

Walmart’s sale will be longer than two days. The retailer is rolling out its ‘Big Save’ event ahead of the holiday season on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. EST through Oct. 15.

This year’s upcoming event will give customers the opportunity to shop home, beauty, fashion, electronics and more at discounted prices. Plus, shoppers will also experience free two-day shipping on orders over $35 as well as free Next Day delivery or in-store pickup on eligible items.

Walmart recently launched its own paid membership called Walmart+.  The membership program offers customers unlimited free delivery from stores on more than 160,000 products. It come with a price tag of $98 a year or $12.95 a month. Swagbucks has a promotion for those who want to sign up, with up to $50 in cashback. There’s also the option of just signing up for a 15 day free trial.
