Wyndham Caesars Transfer

Back in July, I bemoaned Wyndham Rewards as the most annoying loyalty program still worth my time.  Nothing has really changed.  Wyndham properties mostly suck, the program’s website isn’t exactly helpful, and, finally, the worst – a terrible points expiration policy.  But as we have infrequently seen in the past, members now have a more valuable option to get around it.  The Wyndham Caesars transfer limit has been raised for the rest of 2025.  Let’s get into it!

Wyndham Caesars Transfer Limited-Time Promo

As many of you probably know, Wyndham Rewards and Caesars Rewards members can transfer points at a 1:1 rate between programs.  The standard transfer limit has most recently been 30k points per calendar year, down from the previous 60k limit.  But now through the end of the year, that old limit has returned.  Members can transfer up to 60k Wyndham points to Caesars Rewards (and vice versa) through 31 December 2025.

Why Bother?

All the dumpy properties is one thing.  In my view, the bigger issue with the Wyndham Rewards program is the awful points expiration policy.  Wyndham Rewards points expire after 18 months of inactivity (okay…) and four years after they post to your account (yikes).   Wyndham points expire four years after they’re earned, and there’s pretty much nothing you can do about it.

But you can transfer at least a portion of those points to Caesars Rewards.  Many may choose to use those points at Caesars properties, something I actually enjoy doing.  Or you can transfer them right back to Wyndham and obtain a fresh four years for those points.  Indeed, transferring the points back to Wyndham restarts the four-year expiration clock, in my experience.

But Watch Out…

Transfer timeframes can be unpredictable.  Wyndham notes that transfers to Caesars take approximately 10 to 14 days to complete.  I’ve seen my transfers take a day, but in other instances, I recall it being well beyond the stated timeframe.  Plus, Wyndham doesn’t send any email noting the transfer request, so keep good records.

And on the Caesars side, another expiration concern exists.  Reward Credits expire six months from the last date of activity unless one Reward Credit is earned in that timeframe.  Consequently, I’ve normally found it useful to transfer 10k Wyndham points (the minimum amount) at a time and appropriately space out subsequent transfers to ensure a more-lengthened timeframe for Caesars redemption.  Of course, this isn’t as much of a concern for individuals just looking to return these points to their Wyndham accounts.  Regardless, don’t snooze on these transfers!

For what it’s worth, the calendar doesn’t allow me that flexibility this year.  My wife transferred the 30k additional points allowed with this promo in one transaction last week, and they’ve already arrived at Caesars.  Transfers in 2026 will ensure we have the time needed to use the Caesars points, return them back to Wyndham, or both.

Conclusion

This isn’t the highest limited-time increase to such transfers we’ve seen.  I recall a temporary 100k limit in the past, but I doubt we’ll see that again any time soon.  I’m grateful for the increased 60k limit for this year.  Like most all of my expectations, I’ll keep my Wyndham Rewards ones low and appreciate the wins where I can.

How was your Wyndham Caesars transfer experience this past year?
