Wynn New York City, a $12 Billion Casino Project
Wynn Resorts and Related Companies have unveiled visionary plans for a transformative $12 billion project at Hudson Yards, on Manhattan’s West side. This ambitious venture features an iconic 80-story tower housing a luxurious casino and hotel, offering stunning vistas of the Hudson River.
Adjacent to the tower, the proposal includes office spaces, residential towers, and a sprawling 5.6-acre park. Strategically located along the popular High Line, the resort promises accessibility to both tourists and locals, nestled between West 30th and 33rd Streets and 11th and 12th Avenues.
The casino will occupy the lower floors of the main tower, complemented by elegant ballrooms, conference facilities, and an array of retail and dining options.
A second tower will host a 1,400-foot office block, while the third tower will accommodate 1,500 apartments, soaring over 1,200 feet into the sky.
Plans also call for a public school, community center, and daycare facility within the development.
Pending approval, the project anticipates generating 35,000 union construction jobs and creating 5,000 permanent positions.
However, securing a full-service casino license in the metro area remains a significant obstacle. The state is reviewing proposals for up to three casino licenses, requiring a minimum $500 million fee from successful applicants. And there are already several proposals with locations in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and Nassau County.
