American Airlines is celebrating 40 years of the AAdvantage program with a giveaway that can get you free miles and other discounts. You spin the globe, and for every spin you have a chance to win something. You get 2 spins per day, and 5 for a new week. Each spin gets you an entry into the grand prize sweepstakes to win 1 Million AAdvantage® Miles.
The promotion began on April 5, 2021 and ends on May 3, 2021. So you still have time to play and win some stuff. Just visit AAdvantage40th.com and follow the links and instructions to log into your AAdvantage member account.
The Offer
One of those prizes is a digital code redeemable for “20% Off Hyatt Participating Properties”. This is a discount off the Standard Rate, valid for booking by May 31, 2021 for stays with a checkout date between April 2, 2021 and September 12, 2021. I have yet to win that prize, but apparently is just a generic code, which is the same for everyone. You just enter code AA40TH in the ‘special offer’ box at Hyatt.com.

Conclusion
Most people are getting prizes of 40 AA miles or Hertz upgrades. So this 20% Hyatt discount is probably one of the better prizes. The actual discount will likely be less than 20% since it comes off the standard rate. But is can still save you some money.
