The Offer
Earn a total of 25,000 AAdvantage bonus miles on eligible flights to Australia and New Zealand. These bonus miles are awarded in addition to the standard miles and Loyalty Points you already earn.
You must register and book flights by May 31, 2026 and complete travel by March 31, 2027. Earn 1 AAdvantage bonus mile per base mile awarded on eligible flights, up to 25,000 bonus miles.

- Eligible flights must have a departure date between your registration date and March 31, 2027.
- Qualifying eligible flights must be marketed by American Airlines and operated by American Airlines or Qantas.
- Flights marketed and / or operated by codeshare partners not listed above are not eligible for this promotion.
- This AAdvantage® bonus miles offer is only valid on non-stop flights between the 48 contiguous United States and Australia / New Zealand, operated by American Airlines or Qantas.
- Any flight segments connecting within and / or internationally to and from United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand booked in the same itinerary are not eligible for this AAdvantage® bonus miles promotion.
- Bonus miles will be awarded based on base miles of eligible flights, up to a maximum of 25,000 bonus miles.
- Bonus miles from this promotion are calculated from the base mileage earning only; the bonus does not apply to the status multiplier or to any additional promotions that may be in market.
- Bonus miles will be awarded within 14 days after the eligible flight segment is posted to your AAdvantage® account.
- Award tickets, Basic Economy and flights or fare class that do not earn base miles are excluded from this promotion.
- All miles awarded in connection with this promotion will be bonus miles. Bonus miles do not count toward status qualification or AAdvantage️ Million Miler™ status.
Conclusion
If you planning on booking paid flights to Australia or New Zealand, then these 25,000 extra miles can be an easy bonus. The travel window runs through end of March in 2027, so you have plenty of time. But you need to register and book by May 31, if you are targeted.
Just keep in mind that these are bonus miles and do not count toward status qualification or Million Miler status.
