American Express today introduced new and updated benefits on the American Express® Gold Card, including 5X Membership Rewards® points on prepaid hotels booked through Amex Travel, complimentary Hertz Five Star® status and new merchants eligible for the $120 Dining Credit. The $325 annual membership fee is not changing.

New and Updated Benefits

• NEW 5X Membership Rewards® points on prepaid hotels booked through AmexTravel.com or Amex Travel App™, increased from 2X Membership Rewards® points.
• NEW Hertz Five Star® Status: Enjoy benefits like skipping the counter at select locations, adding an additional driver at no additional cost and vehicle upgrades when available. Enrollment and Hertz Gold+ registration is required. Terms apply².
• $120 Dining Credit, adding new partners including Buffalo Wild Wings and Wonder. Enrollment required. Card Members enjoy up to $10 in statement credits each month when you pay at participating partners. Goldbelly and Wine.com will be removed on July 1, 2026.

New Amex Offers

There are 10 new Amex Offers as well, including:

• CLEAR+: Earn 50% back as a statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to make qualifying purchases of CLEAR+ Memberships online at clearme.com/clear-plus by 7/30/2026. Limit of $300 back in total statement credits.
• CLEAR Concierge: Earn a one-time $99 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $99 in one or more qualifying purchases of CLEAR Concierge services online at clearme.com/clear-concierge by 7/30/2026. CLEAR+ Membership (required to purchase CLEAR Concierge) is not itself eligible for this offer.
• Annual Uber One Membership: Earn 100% back (up to $96) as a 1-time statement credit after adding the offer to your eligible Gold Card and using it to make a single purchase of an annual Uber One membership (costing $20+) at uber.com/us/en/uber-one or in the Uber, Uber Eats or Postmates app by 10/30/2026. Limit 1 statement credit per Card Member.
• HBO Max Annual Subscription: Earn a one-time $50 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single qualifying purchase of $99 or more on an HBO Max annual subscription purchased online at hbomax.com by 6/17/2026.
