This Airbnb Adventure Will Take You Around the World in 18 Countries for 80 Days
Airbnb recently launched Airbnb Adventures, as part of Experiences, which has been offered for over two years. The difference with Adventures is that these are multi day trips and tours, instead of just one day.
Part of these new offerings is a trip that’ll take you to 18 countries on six continents in 80 days. The cost is $4,994 per person. While that’s a lot of money, it really is just about $62 per day for the an almost all-inclusive trip. You do need to book your own flight to the departure city (London) and money for some meals and other incidental expenses along the way.
The Trip
The trip starts in the city of London in England. From there, you go to Romania, and Uzbekistan, then continue through the Middle East, parts of Africa, Asia, Australia, and both South and North America. Then you have a stop in Iceland on your way back to England. This is the list of all 18 countries you will visit:
- England
- Romania
- Uzbekistan
- Egypt
- Jordan
- Ethiopia
- Kenya
- Nepal
- Bhutan
- Thailand
- China
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Japan
- USA
- Ecuador
- Chile
- Iceland
The trip sounds amazing, with a wide variety of activities from one country to the other. You walk through glaciers in Chile, go on an African safari, a trek through the Himalayan hills, float in the Dead Sea, meet indigenous people of Oceania and much more. You’ll definitely need your camera and an Instagram account. Plus make sure to have enough empty pages in your passport.
The price includes overnight stays in a variety of settings, including homes, hotels, eco-lodges, campsites, boats, trains, and more. It also covers rides from the starting point (London) and between destinations. That includes flights, trains, boats, helicopters and cars. You also get select meals throughout the trip, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. And there’s water, coffee, tea, wine, and more.
Airbnb hasn’t disclosed how many packages will be available for this trip. The first six of them will go on sale on June 20 at 2pm EST.
Conclusion
Definitely an amazing trip. I’m sure some readers have already visited many of these countries in the list. But an 80 day trip around the world still should be a special adventure. You do need about $5K+ per person, so not everyone will be able to get in on this.
