Earn Up to 2,000 Bonus Miles with Airline Shopping Portals

If you do a lot of online shopping, then shopping portals are a must. You can earn cash back or miles and points for most of your purchases.

Now two airlines points have promotions that can earn you extra miles. You can earn up to 1,000 bonus miles with the American Airlines AAdvantage eShopping and another 1,000 with United Airlines MileagePlus Shopping. Let’s check the details.

American Airlines AAdvantage eShopping

During the “Treat Yourself Bonus” offer, which runs from 1/10/2022 through 1/20/2022 at
11:59:59 pm ET, members will earn a one-time bonus of up to 1,000 AAdvantage miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard AAdvantage miles earned from shopping online through the AAdvantage eShopping mall.

This one-time bonus award will be determined based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period using one of the following tiers:

  • Tier 1 bonus: 500 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $150; or
  • Tier 2 bonus: 1,000 miles for qualifying purchases of $300 or more.

United Airlines MileagePlus Shopping

During the “Treat Yourself Bonus” offer, which runs from 1/10/2022 through 1/19/2022 at 11:59:59 pm ET, members will earn a one-time bonus of up to 1,000 MileagePlus bonus award miles on qualifying purchases made through the MileagePlus Shopping mall or from purchases made through MileagePlus Shopping in-store offers.

This one-time bonus award will be based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period using one of the following tiers:

  • Tier 1 bonus: 500 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $150; or
  • Tier 2 bonus: 1,000 miles for qualifying purchases of $300 or more.

Conclusion

These two promotions will give you an extra 3.3x miles if you make a purchase of $300. That’s in addition to the rate you already earn for any specific merchant.

That should be a great deal but always make sure to check rates from other shopping portals as well at Cashback Monitor or other similar sites.
