Analysis

You can find the list of merchants where you can load your Amazon balance here. Everyone should find a eligible retailer nearby. If you’ve never used Amazon Cash then it could be worth a trip for the $10 bonus, especially before Prime Day. Keep in mind that they have had similar offers for $10 in credit on $30 loads in the past. You can also earn some credit card rewards in the process.

  1. Patty, if you have CVS nearby the you can pay with a credit card or debit as long as they let you buy regular Amazon gift cards with credit or debit card.
Chances are that you may need to educate some CVS cashiers if they are not informed on how to load it.
At least one 7 eleven location was specifically was asking for cash. I guess the reason is that Amazon is marketing this as “Amazon Cash” and phrases “pay cash in store” which may make them think that this is cash only. Of course YMMV.

  2. When I followed your link, the information says I have to pay cash in store. Does it work if I use a credit card?
