American Airlines Black Friday Promotion
American Airlines has launched a Black Friday promotion with the opportunity to save 20% on a future booking. To get the discount, first you need to book a flight within the next four days. Depending on what you book, your future discount will vary between 10% and 20%. Let’s see the details.
The Offer
Book a flight by December 1, 2020, 11:59 p.m. Central Time, for travel through March 31, 2021 and receive a promotional discount code of up to 20% for future travel. Offer ends December 1.
Here’s how the discount works:
- Spend up to $199: Get 10% off next booking
- Spend $200 to $499: Get 12% off next booking
- Spend $500 to $999: Get 15% off next booking
- Spend over $1,000: Get 15% off next booking
Using Discount
The promotional discount code may be applied to reservations booked between 1 January and 31 March 2021, for travel between 1 January and 31 May 2021.
The promotional discount may be applied to any published fare, minus fees and taxes, and any cabin for flights originating in the U.S. 48 to any destination. It can be used for up to 9 passengers on the same reservation. Only credit payments qualify for these promotional discount codes, and other forms of payment including vouchers, trip credit, and flight credit cannot be combined with promotional discount codes.

Conclusion
This promotion could be useful for some people but it comes with limitations. First you need to spend over $1,000 in order to get the maximum discount of 20% on a future flight. That flight also needs to originate in the US and be completed by May. Credit cannot be used with the discount coupon.
