Elite Status Offer From AA, reach Status Faster
American Airlines has a targeted offer that can earn you elite status quicker, through January 31, 2018. This is a targeted offer, so you need to have a promotion code to register.
The Offer
Fly on American and other select airlines and earn the required Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) and Elite Qualifying Dollars (EQDs) between the date you register and May 26, 2017.
AAdvantage elite status membership benefits will take effect immediately and will be valid through January 31, 2018.
Eligible airlines include American Airlines, American Eagle, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, and Qantas, as well as eligible codeshare flight. Once you qualify, you’ll be eligible for all perks of elite status once you qualify, including:
- Special upgrade privileges
- Mileage bonuses on eligible flights
- Priority check-in, security and boarding at the airport

A nice offer from American Airlines, but sadly it is targeted. You need to have received a promotion code by mail or email in order to register. If you are targeted, it can earn you status quickly and it will be available right away, through January 31, 2018. These are the normal requirements to qualify for Elite status with AA.
