American Airlines Is Giving Every Member A Free Gift

American Airlines is getting into the holiday spirit by giving every registered member a gift.  All you need to do is log into your account and go to the promotions section to see what your gift is.  If you don’t have status it will likely only be 100 miles with a bonus earning offer. If you are an American Airlines cardholder then it probably is a little bit better than that. This could be a good way of extending the expiration date on your miles since you need activity every 18 months to keep them active. This offer is running from December 2nd through December 16th.

  • 100 Miles
  • 250 miles
  • 1,000 million miler miles
  • 4 x 500 mile upgrades
  • 1 preferred seat coupon & double miles with Hertz
  • 20% off a flight
  • 2 x 500 mile upgrades
There are also other offers for flights flown January 1 – February 28, 2021:
  • Fly two flights and earn double miles
  • Earn a main cabin extra seat coupon after flying two flights
  • 4 x 500 mile upgrades after 4 flights
  • Earn 2,500 bonus Million Miler miles after 4 flights

Final Thoughts

Nothing too eye catching but free is free and it should only take a few seconds. I did it for myself and my wife and got 100 miles each.  But it adds another 18 months to our clocks so I am okay with it.

  2. My wife and I each only received the 100 bonus miles. We do not have status on AA but both have the Citi Platinum AA card and the Barclay Aviator card.

  3. I’m currently lifetime Gold and a 1 Million miler. I got 1,000 miles AND Earn 2,500 bonus Million Miler℠ miles from January 1 – February 28, 2021: Register by December 16, 2020, and before creating a flight reservation. After you’re registered, book 4 qualifying, eligible flights for travel on or after January 1, 2021
