Amex Finally Adds Miles and Points Earning Details for Cobrand Cards

American Express revealed today a much needed improvement to its website. Cardholders who have one of the many Delta SkyMiles, Hilton Honors, and Marriott Bonvoy Consumer and Business Cobrand cards will be able to get more details about their miles and points without having to go to leave the Amex site.

Over the next few weeks members will see new options to better track rewards earned and get more insights into how they are using their Card benefits.

Here’s what you can expect soon:

  • Upgraded Rewards Summary: In a new “Rewards & Benefits” tab within their American Express online account, Cobrand Card Members will now have a dedicated summary showing a transaction-by-transaction view of the points or miles they earn with each purchase, as they post to their account. They will no longer need to wait until they get their statement at the end of each month to see how many points or miles they earned.

  • New Rewards Insights: Cobrand Card Members will also be able to see which transactions earned bonus points or miles as part of their bonus categories and how they are tracking towards their annual or monthly statement credits, giving them insight into how they are using their Card benefits and where they can earn more all in one place.

These new features for Delta SkyMiles, Hilton Honors, and Marriott Bonvoy Card Members have been strangely missing so far. With these changes, American Express Cobrand Card Members will get the same rewards tracking and insights as Card Members who earn Membership Rewards Points and Cash Back Reward Dollars.

Most likely you won’t see any changes today in your account, but the new features will roll out to everyone over the next few weeks.

Disclosure: Miles to Memories has partnered with CardRatings for our coverage of credit card products. Miles to Memories and CardRatings may receive a commission from card issuers.
