Amex Authorized User Spending Offers Are Back – Share Yours Here

American Express sent me an email with an authorized user spending offer yesterday.  These come around from time to time and are a good way to rack up points or cash.  When they send them out for one card that usually means multiple cards/people are targeted.  Share your offers in the comments and I will add them into the post.

Amex Authorized User Spending Offers Are Back

My Offer

My offer was for the Blue Cash Preferred card and is the following:

  • Earn $25 on each authorized user card when they spend $250
  • Must complete the spend within the first 3 months of cardmembership
  • Can add up to 4 authorized users
  • Offer ends 8/31/19

One thing to remember is that authorized user cards often count towards Chase 5/24 status although people have had success removing them before applying and being okay.  But if you can add friends or family members who don’t care about that then even better.

Additional Offers

Eric has the following offer for his Hilton Ascend card:

  • Earn 5,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after they spend $250 in eligible purchases on their Card

Conclusion

I am not sure if I will take part in this or not.  Getting 10% back on up to $1,000 in spending is nice but having to add AU’s to do it is kind of a pain.  If it was 5K Membership Rewards points like we have seen in the past for some cards I would probably do it then.

Remember to share your offers below.
