Amex Business Gold Card Bonus for 200,000 Points
The Amex Gold Card got a major refresh today, but the Business Gold Card also has some notable updates. The card now has a massive signup bonus of 200,000 bonus through referrals, a 0% Intro APR, and a White Gold design option. Let’s see the details.
The Offer
- Earn 200,000 Membership Rewards® points after you spend $15,000 or more on eligible purchases on your Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership starting from the approval date.
- Intro APR 0.0% Intro APR for 6 months for new Card Members from the date of account opening on purchases eligible for Pay Over Time, then a 19.49% – 28.49% variable APR.
- Annual Fee:Â $375
The offer is available through select referrals only. If you have one, you’re welcome to share it in the comments. Here’s an example.
Card Details
The American Express Business Gold comes with a pretty great earning structure if the categories line up with your spending patterns. It is an underrated card in my opinion with a 4X earning cap 6X larger than the personal Amex Gold.
- Earn 4x Membership Rewards on the two categories your business spends the most each billing cycle. Good for up to $150,000 in combined purchases each calendar year in the following categories.
- Purchases at U.S. media providers for advertising in select media (online, TV, radio)
- U.S. purchases at restaurants, including takeout and delivery
- U.S. purchases at gas stations
- Monthly wireless telephone service charges made directly from a provider in the U.S.
- Transit purchases including trains, taxicabs, rideshare services, ferries, tolls, parking, buses, and subways.
- U.S. purchases made from electronic goods retailers and software & cloud system providers
- Earn up to $20 in statement credits each month for eligible purchases at FedEx, Grubhub, and Office Supply Stores. Enrollment required.
- Walmart+ Membership Credit for a monthly Walmart + membership (subject to auto-renewal).
Conclusion
This is a great offer, especially since it is available through referrals. But the bad news is that only a few people are able to generate referrals that show this 200,000 points bonus.
Just keep in mind that you need to complete $15,000 in spending now, up from $10,000. That won’t be reachable for everyone. Don’t force it if you don’t think it works for you, and just look at other options.
