Amex Delta Gold Card, Find Out How to Get 70K Bonus Plus $200 Credit

American Express currently has increased welcome bonuses on all Delta credit cards. While those are already great offers, you can do even better in some cases. The Amex Delta Gold card for example has an even better offer for 70,000 SkyMiles and a $200 credit. And yes, the annual fee is waived as well. Let’s look at the details of this offer, and how you can find it.

The Offer

Earn 70,000 SkyMiles, $200 statement credit for Delta purchases and annual fee is waived the first year. Here’s what this offer looks like:

  • To qualify for the 70,000 bonus miles, you must make eligible purchases with your Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card that total $2,000 or more (the “Threshold Amount”) within your first 3 months of Card Membership starting from the date your account is approved.
  • One statement credit for $200 will be issued to your Card account after a Delta purchase is charged to your Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership, starting from the date your account is approved.
  • The introductory annual fee for the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card will be $0 for the first year of Card Membership. After that, the annual fee will be $99.

How to Get the Offer

The offer shows up when doing a booking directly on the Delta website. A dummy booking is sufficient, meaning that you don’t have to actually book a flight. Just go up to the payment page and the offer should show up at the bottom. Check the ‘Apply for the Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express Card’ box and you’ll be taken to the application page, showing the same offer.

  1. Hello! How does the $200 statement credit work? I book a flight on Delta.com for $200 and then I’m re-imbursed? I just got the card this week – thank you!

  2. I just got this card in the mail today – thank you!

For the $200 Delta credit, I simply buy a flight today on Delta.com and then the $200 is re-imbursed to me?
