60K+$100 Offer for the Amex Gold Delta Card
We posted a week ago about an increase on Amex Delta cards bonuses. Now there’s an ever better bonus out there for the personal Gold Delta card. Let’s take a look.
The Offer
For a Limited Time: Earn 60,000 bonus miles after spending $3,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 4 months†and a $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 4 months.
Key Terms
- Special Offer Expires on 7/5/17.
- $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $95.
How to Get the Offer
The offer shows up when doing a booking directly on the Delta website. A dummy booking is sufficient, meaning that you don’t have to actually book a flight. Just go up to the payment page and the offer should show up at the bottom. Check the ‘Yes I’d like to Apply’ box and you’ll be taken to the application page, showing the same offer.
Amex Lifetime Restriction
UNFORTUNATELY, YOU CAN ONLY GET ONE SIGN-UP BONUS PER PRODUCT PER LIFETIME ON PERSONAL AND BUSINESS AMEX CARDS. HERE IS THE LANGUAGE THEY USE ON CARD APPLICATIONS: WELCOME BONUS OFFER NOT AVAILABLE TO APPLICANTS WHO HAVE OR HAVE HAD THIS PRODUCT.
There really isn’t much wiggle room in that. If you have had a card before, you will not receive the bonus. Sometimes you’re able able to get a bonus again if you’ve had a card many years ago, but best way to be sure would be to check with Amex what cards you have and had in the past.
Conclusion
If you’re looking to get this card, then this is the best offer we have seen. You get $50 more than the increased offer that’s currently showing on the Amex website. Any Delta purchase will trigger the $100 credit, which is usually posted right away even though terms say 8-12 weeks.

good deal, thanks!
[…] The standard “public” offer is for 60,000 miles + $50 in statement credit. Fortunately, there is an improved offer available giving you an extra $50, thanks to MTM. […]
[…] Hat tip to Miles to Memories […]
Does the Delta charge need to be equal to/greater than $100? Or does a $5 charge get the full $100 credit?
Also, do you have any suggestions on how to make a Delta charge without actually flying on Delta? Will a GC work? Or any stupid Delta swag-type of stuff?
@Ben, I recently booked an award from a previous business offer that offered $50 statement credit. I paid the taxes and fees and AMEX gave me the full $50 towards my statement which leaves me with a negative balance.
The offer doesn’t come up for me on a dummy booking on the Delta website. Tried a few times and nothing. Looks like this is a targeted-type offer.
