Amex Green Card Has a Targeted 30K Offer with No Lifetime Language
The American Express Green Card was relaunched last month with new benefits and an increased welcome offer. You can earn 45,000 Membership Rewards points or a 35K bonus through referrals, which might be better in some cases. You can read all about it here.
But American Express has also been sending offers to some people by mail. The offer is for 30,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $2,000 in purchases within the first 90 days. That’s clearly not as good as the offers mentioned above, but it does have something of value. No lifetime language. That means that people who have had the Amex Green Card in the past, can apply and get the welcome offer again.
Check your emails for subject “Presenting the new American Express® Green Card”.
Conclusion
If you have never had this card in the past, you should skip this targeted offer. But for previous Amex Green cardholders it is yet another bonus opportunity.
This card has been around for 50 years, so keep in mind that cards that you had over 7 years ago usually fall of your record.
