Amex HHonors Free Weekend Night Offer

Amex HHonors Free Weekend Night Offer

American Express is sending out a nice targeted offer to holders of their no fee co-branded Hilton HHonors credit card. The offer is so good that I sort of wish that I hard the card. Enough feeling sorry for myself though. Let’s take a look.

The Offer

Enroll and spend $1,000 in purchases on your Hilton HHonorsAmerican Express Card by December 15th, 2016 and earn a FREE Weekend Night Certificate. Some hotels may have mandatory service or resort charges.

Key Terms

  • To be eligible for this special offer, you must be the Basic Card Member on the offer communication, and you must enroll and spend $1,000 between now and 12/15/2016.
  • After enrolling the Card, you can earn a Free Weekend Night Certificate from Hilton HHonors when you spend $1,000 in purchases on your Hilton HHonors Card from American Express during the promotion period. Purchases to meet the spend requirement of this offer do NOT include fees or interest charges, balance transfers, cash advances, purchase of travelers checks, purchase or reloading of prepaid cards, or other cash equivalents. Additional Card Members on your account are not eligible for this offer.
  • To receive the Free Weekend Night Certificate, your account must not be cancelled or in default at the time of fulfillment.

Analysis & See If You Were Targeted

So basically spend $1K and get a free weekend night at any Hilton property? Where do I sign up? Oh wait that’s right. I don’t have this card. Luckily if you do, you can check to see if you were targeted by clicking this link and logging in. I am not the jealous type so I sincerely hope that you were. This is just too generous!

Conclusion

While we have taken so many hits when it comes to credit cards this past year, we have seen nice targeted spending offers surface from many of the large banks. This one is almost too generous, so if you have the no annual fee Hilton Amex card and if you were targeted, then I would say it is probably wise to jump on this!

Were you targeted? What property are you going to use your weekend night at?

  1. My wife was targeted and we enrolled. I have a companion card. Do you see any potential problem if I make the $1000 in purchases on my card? Seems like it should work, right? Otherwise, I’ll drag her to the supermarket to buy a couple gift cards.

  2. YOur information indicates one needs to be on the “offer communication”. I did not receive this offer but would like to set things up to get future offers. What do I need to do to be on the “offer communication”? Thank you.

  4. I didn’t get the promotional offer either… we decided to put the card in a drawer and use our chase cards.. from what I read to get these offers you have to stop spending on them. So be it.

    • I have the Surpass card. A recent booking with Hilton gave me 5000 bonus points and I’m not sure how. It just says “AMEX 5000 points on us offer”. It was for a one night stay.

      • yea. thats a good one that has been around from AUG. glad you got it. requires 2 stays though. you sure you only stayed one time?

  5. I just got this card and am working toward the $2,000 min spend organically (the limited time offer from a few weeks ago). Unfortunately I wasn’t targeted – I imagine they invited people whose accounts were of a specific age or older – otherwise I totally would have jumped on this!

  6. I’m not targeted and I am a huge spender with amex (probably why im not targeted?). Anything I can do to get them to offer this to me? This doesn’t seem fair I spend thousands and thousands on this card and others who use it less get a free night?

  7. Was about to email you regarding this promo, but you beat me to the punch. Wife was targeted and we’ll likely use the free night in Singapore to go along with the Visa BOGO offer at Conrad that we booked before it died. Score!
