Free Weekend Night Award
The free weekend night award will be sent as an email from Hilton to the email address listed on your Hilton Honors account within [6-8 weeks] after the first anniversary date of the Card account. That means that you’ll have to pay the annual fee for a second time.
The free weekend night award can be redeemed at participating properties in the Hilton Honors portfolio for a weekend night. The free weekend night award must be redeemed for stays consumed within 12 months after the date of issuance.
Free weekend night includes all applicable taxes; however, the Basic Card Member may be responsible for payment of additional mandatory resort fees at participating Hilton Hotels & Resorts where resort fees are applicable.
This benefit is part of the bonus offer, so current cardholders don’t qualify for it.
Analysis
This is a very good offer, even if Hilton points are some of the least valuable out there. You’re paying a $75 annual fee and you get 100,000 Hilton points. If used properly you can get some good value out of these points.
The free night for another $75 on the second year adds more value to this offer. You should easily get a 2-3 times more value out of that free night.
Conclusion
This is a very attractive offer, especially if you already have Diamond Status which gets you upgrades and breakfast at lots of properties. If you were planning on getting this card, then this is probably the best offer you will see.
