Notre Dame Could Take 15 To 20 Years To Rebuild – Travel Pulse
This tragedy was kind of lost in the shuffle with the pandemic. It is going to be a while before it is restored to its former glory. The details are pretty crazy “1,000 trees across France were chosen to make the cathedral’s transept and iconic spire”. Selecting specific trees, pretty impressive.
Visa, Mastercard Face New Pushback in $5.5 Billion Retailer Suit – Bloomberg
This is going to go on forever I think. A lot of money is at stake and a lot of potential credit card rewards could be caught in the crosshairs. Lower swipe fees would likely equal lower reward payouts.

Florida man sues CDC. Sorry I couldn’t resist 😂. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I think they may actually have a shot of pulling something off.

Cruise lines would like to be treated like the airlines? No doubt. The only problem is that the cruise industry is completely different. For starters, US airlines have ownership requirements that cruises don’t. Then there’s agencies like the FAA that have non-health regulatory power over any plane flying to or from the USA. Cruise lines have no such oversight. Next is that even though cruise lines effectively base out of the US, they have liability and labor laws that belong to the worst third world countries. That’s why it’s pretty much impossible to sue a cruise line. After that is the fact that while airlines could be viewed as vital infrastructure, cruises simply aren’t. I never had much regard for DeSantis’ intelligence but wow is that guy stupid to try defending these points. To even attempt to defend foreign owned floating sweatshops simply because they embark passengers and reprovision in the US is laughable. Then again I guess you could justify it as DeSantis truly being the ultimate Florida man.
@George
I’m with you on the hate for 49% of the state. I despise those people (or whatever they are). I do respect the 51% who support freedom, although, they are stuck with the poor choice of candidates who pretend to support freedom but don’t.
Florida is better than NY, Illinois, California, NJ, NH, RI, MI, and a few others.
It’s sad when Florida is leading the country on anything :/
Yet, they are the one state taking a stand against abuses of power and authoritarian government.
Hate the state more than any other, but, respect for them standing up to bullying.
