I am in agreement with this. Airlines have almost triple the liability of normal when talking about airline miles.  Burn your airline miles ahead of your transferrable currencies to safeguard against this.  Even if the price is a little bit higher.

  1. And I get credit card offers from these airlines constantly. I’m not sure if I should get an airline credit card or not. I do want to take the family on vacation, so it is tempting. But devaluations are not something to look forward to.

    • Devaluations are always going to happen I wouldn’t let the fear of one change what you were going to do personally.
