Blue Business Plus 20K Offer

Blue Business Plus 20K Offer is Back, Check If You’re Targeted

Blue Business Plus, one of the best credit cards for everyday spend, has again a 20,000 MR points signup bonus. This time around it seems like a targeted offer, so you’ll need to check for yourself.

The Offer

  • Earn 20,000 Membership Rewards® points after you spend $5,000 in qualifying purchases on the Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership†.
  • Plus, get a 0% intro APR for 15 months on purchases. After that your APR will be 12.24%.
  • If your application is not received by 08/25/2017, you will not be eligible for the 20,000 points even if your application is approved.

The card earns points in the following ways:

  • 2X points on the first $50K in spend each year.
  • 1X points thereafter.

Depending on how you value Membership Rewards points you could view that as a 3% or higher return on your first $50K in spend. Not bad at all.

Application Link. You need to log in to see if the offer is available to you. It is also showing up as a pre-approved offer for some when you log into your accounts.

Analysis

First, you can see a complete review of the card here, but in a few words, it is one of the best cards out there for everyday spending considering it doesn’t have an annual fee.

This new offer is targeted, and slightly different from the 20K offer that came with the card release. Spending requirement has been increased from $3,000 to $5,000, but 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers has been increased from 12 months to 15 months.

The card hasn’t been receiving Amex Offers, which has been a big let down, but we covered a way to at least add some offers.

Conclusion

This is a card worth getting and keeping for the long term. While I still prefer Ultimate Rewards over Membership Rewards, the ability to earn 2X everywhere on all spend up to $50K a year for no annual fee is great. I already have the card myself and hopefully you can get it too if you’re targeted.
