BofA Alaska 40K +$100 Bonus Offer
When it comes to the sheer number of miles, the Bank of America Alaska Airlines credit card never will be the champion. In the days of 100K bonuses, this card’s normal 30K bonus seems low on the surface, but as any experienced miles/points enthusiast will tell you Alaska miles are among the best around.
More recently we have seen 40K offers or 30K plus a $100 credit. But now there’s a new best ever offer, that also comes with a small catch.
The Offer
40,000 Bonus Mile + $100 Statement Credit + Alaska’s Famous Companion Fare
- Get 40,000 bonus miles plus receive a $100 statement credit and Alaska’s Famous Companion Fare™ from $121 ($99 fare plus taxes and fees from just $22) with this offer. To qualify, make purchases of $2,000 or more within the first 90 days of opening your account.
$75 Annual Fee (Not waived)
Card Benefits
- 3X miles for spend on Alaska and 1X everywhere else
- Free companion fare every year
- Free checked bag
Conclusion
Compared to previous best offers, you now get either an extra $100 credit, or 10,000 more miles. But at the same time, the Companion Fare will cost $99 instead of being free. To determine which one is the best offer, it depends on what value you can get out of that Companion Fare, beyond the $99 that you need to pay.
Either way, this is a good bonus in my opinion. Let us know what you think.

Speaking of Alaska Air. I would like to use my Singapore KrisFlyer miles for travel on Alaska Airlines from Chicago to OGG Maui. What is the best search engine I should use to search for award availability?
Is there a link? Bank of America nor Alaska Airlines show this offer on their websites.
Yes my wife and daughter just flew business class Cebu to Anchorage via Dubai on Emirates using AK Air miles
thanks!
can alaska points still be used to book Emirate international flights at decent rates?
Does BofA still allow you to have multiple cards? I have an Alaska card, and I’d love to sign up for a second.
As far as I know they do but it is a lot harder to get approved for it these days.
