Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport is Once Again Busiest in the World

Airports Council International has published its world traffic report for 2018. The busiest airport in the world should come as no surprise, as it’s been on top for the last 20 years. Once again Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport was named the busiest passenger airport. It welcomed more than 107 million passengers in 2018, a 3.3 percent increase in traffic over the previous year.

Beijing Airport Airport with 100 million passengers and Dubai International Airport  with 89 million came out on top, outside of the US.

Around the world, the global passenger traffic increased by six percent to 8.8 billion last year, with the top 20 airports growing by 4.7 percent and welcoming more than 1.5 billion passengers.

A total of 5 US airports made it in the top 20 busiest worldwide.
