MtM Vegas – Caesars Palace Facelift

On this week’s MtM Vegas we have so much to talk about including a huge facelift for a Strip icon and how some big gamblers may be getting 25% back. Before we dive in don’t forget to subscribe to the Miles to Memories YouTube channel to see every episode plus our Vegas reviews, guides and tours!

This Week’s MtM Vegas

On this week’s show we cover the news that Caesars Palace is getting a major facelift. Despite millions of dollars of changes, is it really THAT different and what would we like to see changed? We also discuss a new restaurant fee that has made its way to one Vegas casino and many of its restaurants. Sneaky sneaky.

Elsewhere around town Resorts World is open and popular, however are they losing unhappy employees? Plus we talk the end of the generous $150 bonus and how big gamblers are being given up to a 25% rebate to play there. Plus we talk Jose Canseco car wash, Studio 71 at Plaza and how casinos may be implementing permanent cutbacks.

Caesars Palace Facelift – Bottom Line

While I don’t think the Caesars facelift is a huge deal, I think it will add a big more character to that otherwise pedestrian entry area. As for Resorts World, it is fairly common for casinos to have turnover and I wouldn’t worry too much about that. As for the 25% rebates, I don’t expect those to last long.

  1. I like the YouTube vids. I can speed it up to x 1.5 still understand them but move along. Also below the time line it shows the subject. I much prefer this to the regular podcasts. I looked for a few apps that could do what YouTube does but no luck and quite frankly I am only going to spend so much time on it.
The quality of the content if Top Notch. I haven’t found anyone who covers Las Vegas like they do andthey have saved/made me a lot of money.
    Thanks to Shawn and Mark

  2. It’s really annoying that they force you to watch their youtube channels if you want to know the details of their posts. I watched one of their Youtube video and was so bored I couldn’t follow to the end. I’ve decided that whenever I see mtm on boardingarea I will just skip it, even if the topics interest me, because I know clicking on the webside won’t give me any info. I guess they’re not making enough money with the ads on their website so they need youtube, or maybe they’re just greedy.

    • It seems more and more want to get out of the blogging end (except to promote podcasts, etc.). I guess it’s sexier, but I’m just not out to invest that much time. Maybe BoardingArea will come up with a required symbol to let you know the only content of the post is to lead elsewhere.

      • You guys do realize we have 1-2 podcasts and 1-2 YouTube videos out of 50-60 posts a week right? People like to consume content in different ways so we are trying to offer all avenues for that. To skip everything because you don’t like watching a news video is pretty laughable in my opinion but your loss I guess 😉

        Have a great night!

        • @Mark – Mine was more a general comment. There are others that are leaning much more heavily towards podcast than yourself.

          • Makes sense Carl, thanks for clarifying. Mine was more in response to Chris anyway.

            Have a great weekend!
