Capital One Spark Card’s Massive 200K Welcome Offer –
Capital One has been taking over the credit card world today with announcements right and left. But I am here to say that nothing tops this bad boy. If you have a business that spends a lot of dough then this is the offer you want. How does 6% back on your next $50,000 in purchases sound? Move over American Express Blue Business Plus there is a new bread winner!
While Swagbucks has added a way to get a bonus along with your welcome offer on Capital One personal cards it does not have the Spark cards on offer. That would have been a great way to double dip this offer.

New Transfer Partners
Capital One also recently added 12 transfer partners for their mile earning cards. The rate of transfer is 2 to 1.5. After spending $50,000 you would have 300,000 miles worth $3,000 towards travel. Those “miles” could be turned into 225,000 airline miles. If you valued the airline miles at 1.5 cents a piece that is a value of $3,375 when transferred. The transfer partners are:
- Aeromexico
- Aeroplan
- Avianca
- AsiaMiles
- Etihad Airways
- EVA Air
- Finnair
- Flying Blue
- Hainan
- Qantas
- Qatar Airways
Application Rules
Be aware that Capital One pulls all three credit bureaus when you apply. You are not able to get a Capital One card if you have applied for another one within the past 6 months.
Conclusion
This offer is about as good as it gets. If you are able to reach the high spending threshold you will be earning at least 6% back on your next $50,000 in business spend. That is $3,000 you can plug back into your business for simply spending money you were going to spend anyway.
If you value the new airline partners at all then the Miles card may be the way to go. You are able to squeeze a little more value out of the points if you get at least 1.5 cents per airline mile.

Thanks for the notice . I was instantly approved for 20K. I already have the Spark business cash and the Venture card. I was surprised since I already have quite high lines now.
The 5K no problem but I will have to MS most of the 50K. I love the instant approvals!
Congrats Brian – you are one of the lucky few to build the Cap One dream team 🙂
I gave up on CapOne when they closed my personal savings account and turned my balance over to the State unclaimed property dept. They tell me they sent me one notice a year ago that they’d close the account…I never got the notice. I regularly logged into the account but the only activity on it was interest accrual. Then one day it was gone. After a call they finally told me why it had been closed and that they had notified me that it would happen. Incredibly poor customer service, and I’m still waiting for my unclaimed money to show up in the unclaimed property… Buh-Bye CapOne!
They are far from the best bank that is for sure. I can understand why you would not wanna do business with them after that. Hope you get your money back some time soon!
Does the business card also pull from all 3 bureaus?
As far as I know they do.
Headline is pretty misleading – this is NOT 6% back on every purchase; rather you have to spend EXACTLY $50k to get an effective 6% cash back. Very easy to read the headline and believe the card will give 6% on every purchase UP TO $50k.
Sorry you feel that way – it does say big spenders and the article clearly lays out the payout schedule.
Isn’t capital one stringent with MS?
They have shut down people from large amounts of MS. I wouldn’t apply unless you had a large amount of regular business purchases.
Is it possible to get approved for two of these in the same day? With two different business names.
Hi Mark! Probably not interested in those air partners but also the chance Cap1 adds on more attractive ones later. If I go the miles card route, can I still cash out at .01 (while keeping the option to transfer)?
Hey Pam – I hope you have been well!
Yes it will still work towards regular travel redemptions at 1 cent a piece. It works just like the Venture card or Arrival Plus.
