Capital One Announces Summer Experiences for Rewards Cardholders

When Capital One launched Capital One Dining and Capital One Entertainment earlier this year, it also promised a series of experiences for its cardholders. Now they have shared with us some of the summer offerings, a series of unique, cardholder-exclusive experiences for everyone. These offers include best-in-class culinary experiences, behind-the-scenes access to art exhibitions, and once-in-a-lifetime sports moments:

• Exclusive dinners and culinary experiences curated by partners like Chef José Andrés, The MICHELIN Guide, Gather Charleston, New York City Wine & Food Festival and Vinous
• Unique access to fine arts events through our new partnership with The Cultivist
• Exclusive access to music and sports events including Major League Baseball’s All-Star Week and iHeartRadio Festival

These cardholder experiences are offered at multiple price points, giving rewards cardholders more opportunities to access the unique experiences that their cards unlock. For most events, cardholders have the option to use rewards, their Capital One rewards card or a combination of both. But, not every offer is a great deal, so make sure you check the value you get for your points when redeeming them for experiences.

Events and Experiences

• José & Friends Dining Series: Want to get up close & personal with some of your favorite premier chefs? Here’s your chance! Join some of Chef José Andrés’ favorite chefs at cardholder-only dinners around the country. In these intimate dinners, you’ll get a chance to hear one-on-one from chefs and learn more about their favorite dishes
  • Cotogna Pop-Up at Verjus: Tuesday, July 26th at 6PM PT: Chef Michael Tusk is renowned for his soulful pastas and grilled meats, but the breakout hit of the menu at Cotogna is Focaccia di Recco–the beautiful, cracker-thin, cheese-dotted bread, which he imported from Liguria. Learn to make Chef Tusk’s latest signature dish from the man himself, then enjoy a multi-course dinner in the private events space on Washington Street.
  • The Art of the Aperitivo at Bar Volpe: Thursday, July 28th at 6:30PM ET: Discover the art of the aperitivo alongside James Beard Award Winner and Top Chef All Star Chef Karen Akunowicz at Bar Volpe. Enjoy a demonstration on the traditional spritz alongside aperitivo snacks before a sit down, multi-course dinner, all led by Chef herself.
  • Explore the Kitchen of Atelier Crenn: Friday, August 19th at 6PM PT: Experience an evening in the kitchen with chef Dominique Crenn – the first female in the United States to be awarded 3 MICHELIN Stars! Guests will begin their evening with champagne and canapés in the salon of Bar Crenn before being transported to the Atelier Crenn dining room. During dinner, small groups will be welcomed to the kitchen to work side-by-side with our chef team. They will learn how to create and assemble two dishes from the multi-course tasting menu- one savory and one sweet, and then enjoy their dishes in the kitchen.
  • Johnny Spero Seafood Extravaganza: Friday, September 9th at 7:00 PM EST: Explore the bounty of Atlantic seafood with Chef Johnny Speroof MICHELIN-starred Reverie. Enjoy a demonstration & conversation about some of the most unique ingredients found in the Atlantic Ocean followed by a multi-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Reverie has a curated wine program with bottles chosen to highlight the subtly nuanced flavors of chef Spero’s menus and amplify the voices of underrepresented peoples, communities, grapes, and regions who share the sustainability and environmental protection ethos.
• Capital One & MICHELIN Guide Destination Dining Series: For those feeling a little wanderlust this summer but aren’t able to get out of town, we’re offering cardholders the chance to experience world-class destinations through food. As part of its continued partnership with the MICHELIN Guide, Capital One is continuing its Destination Dining Series with additional dinners this summer that will transport cardholders’ taste buds to world-class destinations.
  • Destination: Scandinavia in NYC on Thursday, July 21, 2022; 6 PM Seating & 8:30 PM Seating
    • Experience Emma Bengtsson’s creative & unique Swedish-inspired menu as she and the team from two MICHELIN-starred Aquavit welcome Chicago Chef David Posey from one MICHELIN-starred Elske, featuring their “Scandi”-influenced fare. This unique collaboration menu is sure to not be missed.
  • Destination: Korea in Miami on Wednesday, July 27, 2022; 6 PM Seating & 8:30 PM Seating
    • Anything can happen in Miami, when newly awarded one MICHELIN-star Côte Miami welcomes the amazing and creative team from two MICHELIN-starred Jungsik from New York City. This collaboration of Chef David Shim’s luxurious Korean table side butcher’s feast combined with Jungsik’s innovative approach to Korean classics, will surely be one to remember!
  • Destination: Mexico in DC on Thursday, August 18 & Friday, August 19, 2022; Each night: 6 PM Seating & 8:30 PM Seating
    • An unprecedented, one-of-a-kind menu collaboration hosted by the teams from two MICHELIN-starred Jônt and one MICHELIN-starred Bresca, as they welcome the team from two MICHELIN-starred Californios. Expect a menu that is not to be missed, as Chef Ryan Ratino and Chef Val Cantu team up to create dishes with a refined-Mexican flair.
• The Cultivist: Get up close & personal with some of the art world’s most renowned works as part of the new partnership with The Cultivist, a leading global arts club.
  • All Capital One credit cardholders are now eligible for a six-month complimentary “The Enthusiast” membership which includes free access for the cardholder and up to three guests to 100+ of the best global museums, including NYC’s Guggenheim Museum, San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, Paris’ Louvre and Musee d’Orsay, and Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum.
  • The membership also includes access to The Cultivist’s booking platform and concierge services which connects art lovers to top-rated guides and docents around the world for custom museum tours.

• MLB All-Star Week: Earlier this year Capital One announced it is a new official partner of Major League Baseball as the league’s Official Bank and Credit Card Partner, as well as the presenting sponsor of the World Series. As part of this partnership, all Capital One rewards cardholders can redeem their rewards for MLB tickets, including cardholder exclusive tickets, to games for all 30 teams, All-Star Week, MLB Postseason and the World Series on Capital One Entertainment.

• Vinous Virtual Wine Events
  • October-December 2022. Cardholders have access to tickets for an exclusive virtual seminar series hosted by renowned wine critic Antonio Galloni. Each ticket includes a curated selection of 3 wines and a complimentary 1-year Vinous subscription. Limited tickets will be available starting July 11.
