Chase Hyatt Card Two Free Nights

New Offer for Chase Hyatt Card, Two Free Nights and $50 Statement Credit

The standard public offer on the Chase Hyatt credit card was lowered to 50,000 points back in January. There was a 60K offer briefly, but it’s no longer available. But now we have a different signup bonus, for two free nights and a $50 statement credit. Let’s check the details.

The Offer

Earn up to 2 free nights at Hyatt hotels (Category 1-7) worldwide:

  • Earn 1 free night after you spend $3,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening.
  • Receive 1 additional free night after you spend $6,000 total on purchases within the first 6 months of account opening.

Plus, get a $50 Statement Credit after your first purchase with the World of Hyatt Credit Card.

Check out the Hyatt Award Chart here to get a better idea of how many points are required for each Category. You would need to redeem these two free nights from the new bonus on Category 7 hotels to come out ahead, compared to the best 60K offer that we’ve seen in the past. With Category 6 and 7 hotels you can also do better than the current 50K offer, since you also get a $50 credit.

However, you lose flexibility when with free nights instead of points. The certificates also expires in one year, so that adds more restrictions.

Also keep in mind that Chase instilled the Chase 5/24 rule on all cards so the card is not available to everyone like it used to be. Also the product is not available to either (i) current Cardmembers of any Hyatt Credit Card, or (ii) previous Cardmembers of any Hyatt Credit Card who received a new Cardmember bonus within the last 24 months.

I would prefer points over this new offer, but if you have a Category 7 redemption in mind then this new offer could be better. The card also offers other perks. Mark calls it the new king of hotel cards in his review.
