Chase Ultimate Rewards Gift Card Sale – Get 10% Off When Redeeming Points
Chase is running a promo for their Ultimate Rewards program in May. When you redeem your Ultimate Rewards points towards many gift cards you will get them 10% off. While we normally don’t recommend redeeming points for gift cards it is nice to get more for your points if it is something you normally do. Plus with the hardships people are currently dealing with they may be points rich and cash poor and going this route could get you more than 1 cent per point by simply cashing them out.
Details
The promo works for all Ultimate Rewards earning cards (Freedom, Sapphire, Ink). Some of the gift cards are limited to particular cards though. I will notate those below:
- Applebee’s – (Freedom ONLY)
- Barnes & Noble
- Bath & Body Works
- Belk –Â Â (Freedom & Sapphire ONLY)
- Bob Evans
- Chipotle – (Freedom ONLY)
- Domino’s
- Express
- GameStop
- GAP & GAP Options
- H&M
- Happy Treat’s
- Lowe’s
- Lululemon – (Sapphire ONLY)
- Panera Bread
- P.F. Chang’s – (Freedom ONLY)
- Red Lobster – Discount is 5%; (Freedom ONLY)
- Red Robin
- Staples – (Ink ONLY)
- Texas Roadhouse –Â (Freedom ONLY)
- ULTA
The offer runs from May 1-May 31st. These offers are while supplies last (limited quantities available) so some of the more popular brands may be pulled before May 31st.
Final Thoughts
These redemptions are like getting 1.11 cents per Ultimate Reward point. While that is nothing to write home about it does stretch your points a little bit further if you need them for something other than travel. Lowe’s could be a useful option for people that need new appliances etc. and are cash strapped. Or GameStop if you wanted to get your kids something to help pass the time while they are stuck at home. Restaurant options like Domino’s or Applebee’s could cover a few meals.
