East Coast to Hawaii from $339 Round Trip in Basic Economy

American Airlines has some great fares available from the New York and Washington DC to Hawaii. Prices start at just $339 for round trip travel, but we’re talking basic Economy seats. If that and a couple of stops is no issue, then check the details.

The Offer

Fly to Maui (OGG) from New York (EWR) for $339 or Washington DC (DCA) $346 round trip. There’s availability from now until April 2019.

Some Basic Economy details:

  • Seats assigned at check-in
  • Not eligible for upgrades
  • No flight changes or refunds
  • Board in last group

How to Book

You can start your search at Google Flights. Find the dates and routes that best work for you there. Then you can head to the airlines’ website or an online booking agency to complete your booking. Prices might vary a few bucks.

Conclusion

Very cheap prices and plenty of availability for now. But these fares are not for everyone since it’s Basic Economy and it takes almost a whole day to get there. You can choose Economy for $70 more. Make sure you use Amex Platinum that offers 5x MR on airfare or Chase Sapphire Reserve for 3x UR on travel.
