Galaxy S6 $400

This is just a quick Independence Day Deal. Thanks to Doc Maur for letting me know that the deal I posted about the other day on the Galaxy S6 has returned. For those that don’t know, I managed to score a Galaxy S6 for less than $400, despite the fact that some people thought it would be fake, etc.

Now the same seller has the phone on sale again for a similar price. I love mine and can honestly say it is the best phone I have owned. (And I am kind of a phone geek.) Anyway the next lowest price I have seen for this phone is $529.99 on an eBay daily deal one time, so $400 is quite the steal. It regularly sells for $550 on Amazon.

To get the $400 price you must be a new Choxi customer and go through the Saving Star portal. Here is how it works:

  • Go to Saving Star.
  • Click through to Choxi.com
  • Search Galaxy S6 and add either the black or white version to your cart.
  • Enter the code KHN5DS
  • Checkout like normal

Since new members receive free shipping, the total should be $488.75 after the coupon code. You should then receive 18% cashback from Saving Star which amount to $87.98 for a total price of $400.77.

Note: When I purchased this deal last week, Saving Star only gave me about 12% cash back. I am still working with them to get that corrected.

Conclusion

If you are in the market for a new phone, this is a fantastic deal and one I wouldn’t hesitate to get purchase again. Have a great day!

  1. No resolution on the 10% (for me) vs. 18% issue.

My purchase was on July 6. First message to them was on July 8, last reply from them was on July 17. Sent a follow up message today.

Anyone have any luck getting the correct cashback credited to their account?

  2. I still have no word $57.50 vs $87.98. To their defense, they said it would take several weeks. Phone works great…no qualms there.

  3. Any resolution for 12% vs 18% cashback from saving stars? Also screenshot of original cashback offer would be great in case I need to fight it out 🙂

  4. Hi shawn, I recently got my galaxy s6 and there are a couple of problems that came along with it. First I can’t get 4g lte data, my signal is always 2 bars or lower, there is no option for wifi calling and I can’t receive/send picture messages. I have talked with tmobile and they said it was because it was an unlocked phone. Do you have any suggestions? Has anybody else experienced this?

  5. hi Shawn, I just got my galaxy s6 and there are a couple problems that came with it. I can’t get 4g lte, my signal never goes above 2 bars, there is no option for wifi calling, and I can’t send picture messages. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? I talked to T-Mobile and they said that it must be because it was an unlocked phone. Has anyone else experience this?

  6. @Shawn: Do you have screenshot showing 18% which you can share? On my account the purchase posted as 10% although it was 18% when I made the purchase. Need to pursue with Savinstar.

  7. Shawn,

Did savingstar ever get back to you about 18%? I too just received the cashback notification from them, but only got 12% as well.

  8. Be careful with that site. Just look for complaints on google. I only started searching after they called and asked for a copy of my ID. Crazy… Look online about this issue, many customers get called for ID plus very shady refurbished products that were advertised as new. Of course I refused to fax my license. Its against many merchant agreements to ask for ID. Anyways good luck to us but beware and careful with them.

    • My phone arrived today 4 days after ordering, so the two weeks delivery was an overestimate. Compared the phone to a bunch of youtube s6 fake videos and it passed the most crucial tests (OS version lollipop, camera aperture, sim pin hole, charging port, swipe left to briefing). This is the international version so for some tests expect differences (like charger rating 5V, samsung s6 on not written on back cover and model number 920F).

Phone works just fine. This was a good deal especially since I wanted a new phone anyway and for me this is a better option than getting a phone via the Citi AT&T Access More card.

  9. I don’t think the phone works on US LTE networks as it is an international version and does not support the LTE bands used by AT&T it T-Mobile so the deal’s value is kind of limited.

    • It does support all of AT&Ts bands based on my research and all but one of TMobile’s bands. (The one that isn’t widely rolled out.) I am using it on TMobile and have had no issues at all.

      • I just got the phone yesterday, can’t make wi-fi call, can’t send picture message….. Called T-Mobil talked to multiple tech support people, still hasn’t resolved, Shawn, you said you have no issue wit tpT-Mobil at all?
