Citi Adds The Leading Hotels of the World as New Transfer Partner

The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW)is a collection of more than 400 independent hotels in over than 80 countries. Properties are mostly on the expensive side and cater to luxury-seekers. Each property must meet the brand’s quality and distinctiveness standards, which are determined during inspections of the hotel’s accommodations.

All hotels within the collection participate in the Leaders Club rewards program, which is free to join. Until now the only way to earn points was by paying cash for LHW stays. But now the Leaders Club finally has a transfer partner, Citi ThankYou.

The Leading Hotels of the World becomes Citi’s 18th transfer partner, and the fourth hotel partner. Citi Premier and Citi Prestige cardmembers can now transfer ThankYou Points to redeem through Leaders Club.

Some of the LHW Hotels include the likes of Acqualina Resort in Florida, The Lowell in New York City, Malibu Beach Inn in California, Il Sereno in Italy, Adare Manor in Ireland, La Mamounia in Morrocco, Gstaad Place in Switzerland, Palace Hotel Tokyo in Japan, and many more around the country and the world.

Members of Leaders Club also receive benefits including complimentary nights, pre-arrival upgrade opportunities and on-property perks (like breakfast for two!). That applies to both paid and award stays.

The transfer ratio from Citi to LHW is 5:1. For every 1,000 ThankYou Points you will get 200 Leaders Club points. Redemptions are dynamic with the award price closely based on the cash price. You will normally get a value of about 8 cents per Leaders Club point. That makes it a value of around 1.6 cents for your transferred ThankYou Points.
