Citi Custom Cash Card Going Away
The Citi Custom Cash Card will be discontinued. Internal documents that were shared on reddit show that the card will no longer be available through new customer acquisition channels starting May 29, 2026.
The documents state that Custom Cash Card going away is part of ongoing “portfolio management.” The good news for now at least is that existing cardholders will not be affected by the change.
The Citi Custom Cash has been one of the more popular no annual fee cash back cards in recent years as it earn an automatic 5% cash back for up to $500 in purchases each billing cycle in the eligible category where you spend the most.
The documents notes that existing cardmembers will continue to use the card normally and rewards and benefits will remain unchanged for now. Applications already in progress will continue to be processed, even though the card may become unavailable for new applications. It also states that Citi Double Cash will continue to remain available for new applicants.
So it you want the card, this is probably your last chance to apply or product change. The latter might be available even after the card is discontinued, but it’s not guaranteed.

I already have 2 CC cards. My only other Citi card older than 12months was a AA mileup card that I just PC to ATT Points Plus last week, in hopes of being able to PC to a 3’rd CC card. But looks like I’ll be too late and I haven’t seen any DP’s that ATT card can be PC to CC anyway.
