New Round of Citi ThankYou Spending Offers Sent Out

Citibank is no stranger to sending out spending offers on their cards, especially to those who haven’t used Citi cards much lately. Today I received an email with a pretty decent spending offer on my ThankYou Premier card. This is a targeted offer, so you need to have received an email to qualify.

Details on the Offer

The details for the ThankYou Premier spending offer are as follows:

  • Use your card to earn 5 ThankYou Points per $1 spent, up to 2,500 points, through 01/31/2019 on eligible purchases you make at:

    • Clothing Stores
    • Computer & Electronics Stores
    • Department Stores
    • Toy Stores

This offer starts upon enrollment and will end on 01/31/2019.

If you have a ThankYou card like the Premier or Prestige, this is essentially a 6.25% return on the first $500 in spend for any of the above categories.

Usually when Citi sends out these offers for one card they send them out for others as well.  Let me know if you received anything in the comments and I will make a list of all available offers here.

Conclusion

This is a pretty decent spending offer although it is limited in the amount of points you can rack up.  It is good to see them trying to entice current cardmembers with some extra bonus points.

  1. I’m always wary of not using a card for too long. Does Citi not have a tendency of closing cards that haven’t been used for a while? I try to make a small purchase every few months on those less used Citi cards. Thanks.
